The dead person has been identified as Manoj Sharma – former councillor of SMC Ward no.40 Sharmila Sharma’s husband. Manoj (45) was a resident of Ektiasal area in Siliguri.
According to latest updates, Manoj was the owner of the garage at Pranami Mandir Rd. A few days back a man from Bannerhatta came to work at the garage as a security guard. The details of the security guard are unknown to the family members.

Later, Manoj’s family members called him again to know his whereabouts, but this time the security guard picked up the phone and informed them Manoj was heavily drunk and could not come to the phone. They told the security guard to send him home. They ended the call after the security guard acknowledged their request. But Manoj did not return home. His family members called him several times but his mobile phone continued to remain unreachable.
