National Anti Crime & Human Rights Council Of india team on Sonu Nigam Azzan Controversy by Mustafa
The statement against the use of loudspeaker by a particular community given by Mr. Sonu Nigam, the well renowned international singer, having a special place in our hearts, the words sounds so cheap and hostile.Ambassador Dr. Md. Safdar Mustafa, Board of Director, National Anti-Crime & Human Rights Council of India, condemn the way he has portrayed the whole thing terming it as an Anti - National cum Anti - Secular statement, owing which he likes to remind that music is known as a medium to bridge the gap between communities/ groups/ religions, whereas a statement like his just show mere immaturity towards society and disrespect for other religions or communities, neglecting completely the fact that statements like these can lead to communal clash, especially at times when Muslims are feeling cornered and discriminated against for each and every petty matters.
One should be aware that maturity does not represent a mere number of age you have been living for, instead, maturity is more about love and affection and being kind and considerate to others the way you expect others to treat you. A person of his stature is expected to speak polite and does not utter anything random just for the sake of little publicity.
If our renowned heartthrob stars pass this sort of comments especially in a country like India where these starts are considered next to God, just take a moment and think what kind of message you are passing to the coming generations? It is more like a question to you to ponder upon. If you have forgotten, let me remind that our ancestors have shed their precious blood just to maintain the secularism in our country.
Through his tweet, Mr. Nigam waded his immature and irresponsible thoughts into trolling waters after he let loose a volley of four tweets about his annoyance at being woken up by Azaan (the Islamic call to prayer) and termed the use of loudspeakers as "forced religiousness" and "gundagardi" is bad in the eye of common and touches the heart of the particular community.
"God bless everyone. I'm not a Muslim and I have to be woken up by the Azaan in the morning. When will this forced religiousness end in India? And by the way Muhammad did not have electricity when he made Islam" he posted. In addition, he also said "Why do I have to have this cacophony after Edison? I don't believe in any temple or gurudwara using electricity. To wake up people who don't follow the religion. Why then..? Honest? True? Gundagardi hai bus..." he tweeted to 5.94 million followers.
In contrast to his views on Azaan, Miss Priyanka chopra, I am sure I don’t need to introduce her to anyone, considers Azaan as the divine beauty. In her own words, Miss Priyanka Chopra said, “I daily hear Azan in the evening from the rooftop of the hotel. I never miss this chance a single day here because there is a divine beauty in this Azaan. To hear the sound of Azan of different places together is really one of the wonderful experiences of my life.” Her secular thoughts and respect towards other religionare highly appreciated. It is how we unite the people of our country together.
